Steve Rogers is a 22-time KBA champion, including this year's scratch doubles. The 22 titles make him the current leader all time. Locally, Rogers was quite successful in he mid 1990s in the King of the Hill tournaments held at Gala Lanes in Kankakee. For an extended period of time he held the top spot during the tournament's run, not an easy task. Outside the association, he captured the Bob Ness 16 games in the Quad City area. Rogers has competed in 16 ABC tournaments and has accumulated a solid 102 average in he process. His best finishes include a ninth-place finish in the 1998 team event and 27th in the 1999 doubles. In this year's ABC tournament he partnered with Ed Gilbert to roll a 1406 doubles total, to date still in the top 20 scores. In his career the 35 year-old right-hander has rolled numerous ABC sanctioned honor scores, including 16 - 300 games and 9 - 800 series. His 848 series is the current city record. In addition, Rogers has recorded six 299 games and two 198s. He was a team USA qualifier in 1989. Rogers has been on the PBA regional tour since 1990, competing mostly on the regional level. His best finishes on the PBA regional tour have been four top five cashers, the most recent occurring the weekend he was inducted into the Hall of Fame. In that tournament he finished 3rd and rolled a 200 game in competition. Rogers has been named to the PBA Resident Pro Team twice during the past 10 years. This KBA member has carried an average in excess of 200 for the last 15 seasons. He currently owns and operates his own Pro Shop located at Marycrest Lanes in Kankakee.

Wayne Sneed has been a KBA Board member since 1992. He began service to the Association as a house rep at Peotone Bowl. Several years later, Sneed was appointed a member of the tournament committee. Following that run, he became assistant secretary, his current position. Over the years as a board member, Sneed has been very involved, particularly in the area of computerization of the Association. With his knowledge and diligence in moving the administrative functions of the Association from manual to computerized, the transition has been smooth and successful. Several years ago, Sneed was instrumental in the purchase of a laptop computer, for use on site at the annual tournament. As a result, the tournament committee was able to generate and update information more quickly. Probably the most significant contribution in this area was his being responsible for the creation of the KBA web site. The web site shows current tournament results, past champions in all categories, lists series bowled and much more. The web site also includes link to other sites including the ABC tournament site, Illinois State association, PBA, and the youth bowling site, YABA. Sneed has spent many hours gathering history on previous tournaments and in general just setting up the site. To date, he continues to monitor and update the site on a regular basis. His service to the association has been most appreciated. On the bowling side, Sneed has one perfect 300 game in 1974 that he rolled at Burr Oak Bowl in Blue Island. He owns 3 KBA titles, this year's handicap team, 1995 handicap doubles with his son, Jason, and singles scratch in 1985. Sneed also won the 1998 handicap singles at the Illinois Bowling Association Jamboree.
